Serbski Sejm and Domowina local group Njebelčicy/Nebelschütz invite you to honour Jan Skala

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the death of Jan Skala (22.01.1945), the important Sorbian poet, publicist and political activist, the Serbski Sejm and the Domowina local group Njebelčicy/Nebelschütz invite you to a memorial event.

The tribute will take place on Saturday, 11 January 2025, and will begin at 15:30 with a memorial ceremony at Jan Skala's monument at the kindergarten in Njebelčicy/Nebelschütz. Together we will commemorate his services to Sorbian culture and political self-determination.

Afterwards, we invite you to a poetry reading (one in advance in the appendix) with musical contributions and greetings in the Catholic Bjesada.

The candidates for the 2nd Serbski Sejm, who will be holding a workshop on site that day, will also be taking part and will be available to talk to the guests afterwards. This is an opportunity to find out about the goals and visions and to actively participate in the dialogue.
